The only certainty in today’s world is change and it is rapid, unpredictable and complex – leaving us with a lot of questions and very few answers.

  1. How can we be leaders of business when we can’t predict what is coming?
  2. How can we create a vision for others?
  3. How can we be certain about our strategy?
  4. How can we provide new methods of evaluation to know if we have been successful?
  5. How can we prepare our workforce for an increasingly entrepreneurial economy that requires new capacities beyond technical and computer skills?

The very simple and short answer is that we can’t. We can’t be certain about anything in a time of constant change that is transforming not only our concepts and methods of business and leadership, but the very nature of how we think about the world. We are in a time in which we will need to learn to think and act very differently if we are going to be able to adapt to a different kind of future. As leaders we will need to be willing to leave behind what has been successful, and risk new processes and new methods.

“The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas as in escaping from old ones.” — John Maynard Keynes.

Leadership for the Emerging New Economy addresses these issues and many more.  It will change the way you think, plan and view the world around you.
